Open your Device Manager, right-click on your Network Adapter and
select Properties. Click on the Power Management tab and
uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
You can do the same for your mouse and other devices.

|I have windows xp home and when I use standby it works beutiful, windows xp pro did not work .The only
problem is that when I come out of stand by I loose my broadband internet conection compleatly. I f I shut
down computer and restart it I GET BACK MY internet conection. please help I enjoy using standy by very very
much but luv my internet conetion more.
