Hello,

I get the following message after the machince turns itself on after
going into hibernate or Standby. I've made sure the network card
doesn't allow automatic wakeups.

insufficient system resources exist to complete the api

When I look at the event viewer log after it restarts on its own, DHCP
is the first service to write saying it could not renew an ip address.

ActiveSync is installed, but turned off, PDA removed from cradle.

XP SP 2

Please let me know if you can think of something.

I'm having the same problem. This began after upgrading from 1GB to 1.5
on my Centrino based laptop (Windows XP Pro, SP2, current with Windows
update). When their are numerous programs running, and I attempt to
hibernate, an "insufficient system resources" message results, which
disables hibernation until after a reboot. The patch referenced above
is for pre-SP2 XP.

This issue is posted all over the net, but Microsoft seems oblivious to
the issue. Anyone in Redmond paying attention?

Probably someone corrected a typo or a comma. Don't count on MS fixing that
issue any time soon.

My machine has 2GB but it can't hibernate every 3rd-4th time - it's just
SAD. MS refusing to admit the problem is not solved and is not the user's
fault - it's just normal.
