Right-click My Computer and select Properties
Under the Advanced tab, in the Performance section, click the Settings
button.
Under the Advanced tab click the Change button at the bottom in the
Virtual Memory section.
In the window that opens check the 'System managed size' option, and
click the Set button.
OK to exit.
Restart your computer.
I don't think that there is any relation of Virtual Memory with Standby.
After a fresh installation of Windows XP you need to install your VGA/AGP
Drivers to make Standby available. You can install them through your
Motherboard CD or AGP Card CD or through Manufacturer's website.
Thank you RajKohli. Even tho I never reinstalled XP it seems to have lost
it's drivers and doing what you suggested resolved my problem after
mistakenly thinking claymore's advice was good! lol
