No Stand By

I have just installed Windows XP Professional and when I
go to Turn off Computer, the Stand By button is greyed
and not available.

I have a new HP computer and know that stand by is
available.

Can someone advise on how to activate the stand by
function.

and install the correct video adapter drivers designed for your specific
model HP computer. Once installed, the Stand By button will appear.
