Stand by with XP SP2

I installed SP2 onto my laptop last night. Now, the computer wakes from
neither Stand by nor Hibernation. It just comes up with a black screen. I
have to hit the power button to restart the machine. Any thoughts on why and
how to fix without getting rid of SP2.
 
Typical fix involves getting SP2 compatible drivers from the laptop
manufacturer's web site and installing them.
 
Start by checking the manufacturers web site for info re. SP2 issues
particularly re. any possible driver updates.
