Stand Alone

Is it possible to produce stand alone versions of an
access database you have written?

No it's not.

The closest you can come is to purchase the Developer edition of Office.
That gives you a royalty-free run-time version of Access that you can
package along with your application. You distribute this package, and users
who don't have Access already can install the run-time and use your
application.
