Running Access Stand-alone

Is it possible to run an Access front end program (VBA code) as a stand-alone
program in a scheduled task? I would like to read a table in a Mysql
database and update the Mysql database. The input table would be updating
from another program and Access would run stand alone, and sleep after the
table is processed and then wake up periodically to process new records. So
there is no user intervention needed. Thanks for any information you can
provide.

You can setup a windows script to launch ms-access, run your code...and then
shutdown.

The advantage of using a windows script is that this script can easily be
run from the scheduler...
