Squished Axis Label Fonts

Hi,

When I use a font below 8pt, I'm getting 'squished' double-digit numbers on
X-Axis or pie wedges,.

Example: For 15%, the '1' is squished up against the '5', instead of
there being a clear space between the two digits, as there is in this text.

The most prevalent and noticable occurrences are with an initial '1'.

My client is insisting on a 7 pt size.

I've tried a number of fonts, and it seems that 8 pts is the minimum in
order to get normal looking numbers starting with 1.

Does anybody have any suggestions as to what fonts to try specifically, or
know what accounts for this behavior?

Thanks.

Hi,

A known bug, I'm pretty sure.

What about using 8 point, but remove the check next to AutoScale in the text's
Format, Font dialog box.

Then in PPT scale the chart down from its original size slightly.

Take off the autoscale on the fonts in the chart and then click on the slide
to close the chart. Then right-click the chart and choose Format Object and
resize to 100% x 100%. Then reopen the chart and drag the herringboned edges
to resize. http://www.echosvoice.com/charts.htm
