Spyware scanning and XP multi-users

M

Mike Ellis

I have recently realised that running a scan from my
admin a/c does not result in a full scan on the other
user a/c's.Each a/c needs to be scanned individually. This
doesnt just apply to Beta 1 but all other scanning apps
as well in one way or another. It would appear that the
problem dates from when SP2 was installed.Scanning in
safe mode does not solve the problem. Also Spybot users
should be aware that the immunisation function doesnt
update on limited a/c's.They need to be changed to admin
a/c's,updated,and then changed back to limited.
On a positive note,I would like to mention that I think
the real time protection on Beta 1 is worth having just
by its own, this appears to work very well.

Multiple user support is not available in this release, but is being looked
at for the next beta.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the good report.
I suspect the issue of needing to run in each account is being examined for
future releases.
