Spyware definition updates not downloading

Hi there,

I have installed the beta 2 version of Windows Defender several times now
have have sen no definition updates installed to date! My installation info
is:

Windows Defender Version: 1.1.1051.0
Engine Version: 1.1.1185.0
Signature Version: 1.0.0.0

The application tells me that my definitions are 46 days old. If I do a
"check for updates", it tells me that defender has "found no new defintions
or engine updates available" ????

How do I get Defender to update its definitions? I am behind a proxy but I
have tested the upadte outside the proxy also? Any help on this would be most
appreciated.

Go to Windows Update and do a custom scan, and install definition updates
that should be offered to you there.
