It is always best to keep the newest software installed...many new
bots...adware etc coming out everyday...you want to be able to delete them
and now when you update S&D it tries to install the new one
anyway...so...always uninstall the old and put in the new.always always
always.

Hello CC,

There is a difference between having the latest *_definitions_* and the
latest version of an application.

The latest version of a software application doesn't always play as nicely
with a user's PC as an earlier version does.

We shouldn't confuse the latest definitions with the latest version
of the anti-malware software. The former usually continue to be
available with the previous version. While the newer version may
improve operating features or the underlying engine, including detection
mechanisms, it may also bring other programming anomalies that make its
use counterproductive for some. This is true not just of anti-malware
but of most all software; i.e., the latest and greatest isn't
necessarily.
