Having a problem......................

System has detected a number of active spyware applications that may impact
the performance of your computer. Click the icon to get rid of unwanted
spyware by downloading an up-to-date antispyware solution.

Icon in lower right corner flashing blue to red.

When I click on it it directs me to virusprotectpro.

Have norton security and spybot search and destroy but problem still there!

Well first off, don't click on it! It is probably spyware. So you probably
got rid of most of your spyware but are reinfecting yourself every time you
click on this.

Spybot definitions for virusprotect pro were added 07/11/07. I trust that
you updated Spybot before running your scan. I would give Spybot another
chance but this time run in safe mode. Also it wouldn't hurt to run a full
scan with Windows Defender (again in safe mode) just after the Spybot scan.
If that doesn't remove the malware, there seems to be a lot of information on
the Internet about removing Virusprotect pro. Just use your favorite search
engine and search on "virusprotect pro" (without the quotes) or you might try:

Good luck.

Perhaps you NEED TO try SUPERANTISPYWARE -- they have a FREE version, but
I liked the program so much (and it did what the others could NOT do), I
subscribed...they deserve the medal of honour in my book! Good luck.

I am also impressed with SuperAntiSpyware. I still rely on several products
for detection purposes, but I install Super on my friends computers. It cuts
down on the number of phone calls.

Absolutely agree...I use Spybot S&D, WD, Ad-Aware 2007, and AVAST AV,
obviously the usual array...but 'Superantispyware' is always the one that
gets the tough stuff.
