When I visit some Internet Explorer sites, the IE program shuts down. Seems
to happen most notably when I try to go to software security sites (like
trying to reload McAfee or going to Microsoft security), but it has also
happened ocassionally when I went to Yahoo.
Also, whenever I try to open the McAfee Security Center it shuts that down.
I can't run a virus scan without it shutting down. AdAware, NoAdWare and
CoolWebShredder have all been run and the computer restarted numerous times
to no avail. Tried to download HiJackThis, but the program shuts down before
running. All this (except for the IE shutdowns) still happened when I started
the computer in "Safe Mode with Networking"
System restore was on for a short while, but I have disabled that and
restarted a number of times.
