Spreadsheet formula problems

I have a Pentilum 3000+ on Windows XP Home. It is
installed withh Windows Suite 2004. The spreadsheets on
the Windows Suite 2004 do not accept the formula COUNTIF.
I need a spreadsheet program that will take the COUNTIF
formula. I was told that Excel 2003 does this, BUT,
someone said that I may not be able to instal it on my
computer alongside Windows Suite 2004. That the Excel
2003 may just refuse to instal.
Could someone please tell me if the MS Office Excel 2003
that costs £180 from amazon.com will instal and work on
my computer. Or do I need something else installed so
that the Excel 2003 will fully instal and work correctly.
Hope someone can help,

Hi

If you buy the standalone version of Excel 2003 it should install without
any problems. Who told you it wouldn't?
