Sporadic Enter Network Password

Since yesterday afternoon I am getting sporadic Enter Network Password
messages. It sends/receives mail OK for a few times and then suddenly will
ask, then it will go another few times before asking again. (I have tried
counting how many times it works before failing and it is not consistent).

I have Vista Business, Outlook 2007, I have 4 mail accounts set up, 3 with
the same ISP - and I only get the messages on one of them, which is also set
as my default.

I have not installed any software, or knowingly done anything to spark this
off.

I have tried to fix by deleting/reinstating the e-mail account, I have
restored to a checkpoint before it started happening, I have tried removing
some of the com add-ins, I have read through previous threads - and cannot
fix it!

Does anyone have any ideas?

Yes - I have done the things suggested (which I think are the items at the
end of my original post). What is crazy is that it isn't ALL the time, just
every few minutes or so. The only thing that I haven't done yet is to
re-install Outlook. Worth doing?

It is unlikely that reinstalling Outlook will address this problem.

Thanks Brian,

I am now fairly convinced that the problem lies with the ISP and the server
my account is held on; I have set up an Outlook account on another PC and
this is encountering the same problems - so very unlikely that it is a PC
problem. I have contacted them and now wait in hope!

Try lengthening your server timeout value (on the Advanced tab of your account
properties) and your send/receive interval (no less than about ten minutes).
