I am having a problem with SPOOLSV.EXE taking 85% of my
CPU resources with no applications running. Does anybody
have any idea what might be controlling this?

Hey Doug,

It may be a virus, some viruses disguise themselves as the Print spooler
service.

Go into

start/run
services.msc

Scroll down to the Print spooler service and double click on it.

Click the stop button. Wait until it shows stopped.

Now go into task manager.

Has the spoolsv.exe disappeared.

If its still there then its a virus.
