Computer slow! SPOOLSV.EXE taking 99 cpu usage

Derek

On my computer with XP, the file SPOOLSV.EXE says it has
98% or 99% of CPU usage, and it is slow. Is this a
problem with our networked printer? How do I fix it?

Thanks!

There've been lots of posts on this, but the exact cause isn't entirely
clear. I've seen this where the printer driver was misbehaving, so disabling
the "Print Spooler" service (Control Panel \ Administrative Tools \
Services) "fixed" it. Of course, this probably isn't a workable solution,
but it may help you narrow down the cause.
