I need to reinstall the print spool services. Specifically I get an error on "spoolsv.exe" McAfee has corrupted the files as a worm or script. I have disabled McAfee wormstopper and scriptstopper but now need to reinstall. Will reinstalling windows 2000 fix this without reformatting and wiping out personal files currently on the hard drive?
 
Maybe maybe not. Try reinstalling your current Serrvice Pack version of Windows 2000. Then run sfc /purgecache /scannow in the command prompt.
