Thank you for your response.
Restarting the machine results in the same problem.
How do I restart the service? I tried entering "spoolsv.exe" in the Run
command line, but nothing happened

Appreciate any suggestions
Thanks

C:> net start spooler

If SPOOLSV keeps crashing, then there is a spooled document that is causing
a problem for one of the printer drivers. Right-click the printer with a
problem and Cancel All Documents, or open the printer and cancel the first
document that is being printed.

You might have to be quick to cancel the document before SPOOLSV crashes.
SPOOLSV has to be running in order to do things, so you have to keep the
document from being printed and crashing SPOOLSV. Right-click the printer
and select Pause Printer.

Or, the directory "C:\windows\system32\spool\printers" has the spooled
documents. You can manually copy them out of there then delete them, and
then SPOOLSV won't crash.

Thank you Joe

Deleting the files in the direcory eventually solved the problem

Thanks again
