spoolsv.exe - Application Error

Since yesterday, I have the following problem:
When I start Windows 2000 (Professional) there appears an
error message with the following content:

spoolsv.exe - Application error
The instruction at "0x011611ff" referenced memory
at "0x00000002". The memory could not be "read".

And after closing this message I can't neihter print nor
add new printers.

What a problem could this be? What could I do to resolve
this problem?

The same problem began for us at the beginning of last
week. We rebuilt the printers on the server, cleared out
the registry and same with the user workstations and
nothing seemed to help. The workstations continued to
receive that error. We set those users having that
problem with ip printing and they are able to print. In
the event log the error I receive is CloseSap failed with
error 0x0147. Source hpmon, event id 1012. The other
error we experience is event id 1044 lost conection with
address. Are you running hp printers?

Any help or ideas welcome
