spoolersv.exe using 99% of CPU

For some reason the spoolersv.exe is using 99-100% of my CPU when ever it is on. I know how to turn it of, but then I cannot print. What next?

I'm getting close. I can see now that I have 3 documents stuck in 'Microsoft Office Document Image Writer'. I think a week or so ago I didn't have a printer and had downloaded confirmation of something I purchase off the web and wanted to print the web page to a file. I apparently played around with the port for 'Microsoft Office Document Image Writer'. I now have it set to the USB port. But I cannot delete the files waiting to print. Any suggestions?

Try stopping the spooler, manually deleting the jobs from the spool directory, then restarting the spooler
