Spooler service problem????

W

Wayne Sleeman

We have an HP4200N using a standard ip port on a Win2k
server. This is shared and runs normally until it either
goes offline or runs out of paper. When you check the
status it shows "out of paper" with jobs sitting in the
queue until the Spooler service is stopped and restarted.
Any ideas??

I'm assuming that even though it shows out of paper, the printer is not
really out of paper? If so, you can work around this problem by disabling
SNMP and bidirectional support on the queue.
