Spinning Hourglass

I'm running Outlook 2002 SP-2.

Occasionally a spinning hour glass shows up in the right
hand lower corner (Status area.)

Quiting the program is the only thing that appears to
stop it.

Does anyone know what I should do?

Do you have Instant Messaging installed under Tools->Options->Other? If
yes, turn it off. If it is already turned off, then see if running detect
and repair will help.
