Have you checked a) to make sure that it's turned on (Tools - Options -
Spelling and Grammar), and b) to make sure that the document(s) you're
editing aren't set to Do not check (Select the document, Ctrl+A, choose
Tools - Language - Set Language, and make sure Do not check.. is not turned
on; additionally make sure that you have the selected language's proofing
tools installed).
