Spell checker not showing errors in existing doc.

I've just opened Microsoft word for the first time since
changing from ME to XP yesterday. When I "select all"

"set language" > "English (American)", the little

pencil doesn't write and no errors are shown, even though
I know that there are errors in the document. I've
checked the spelling and grammar options and everything
is still set correctly (nothing set to "hide"). I've also
looked at my customized American English dictionary (re-
activating it, of course, afterwards) and all of my
entries are still there.

Any ideas?

You want to go to "Tools" > "Spelling and Grammer"
instead.
