I am new at Windows XP. Do I have Spell Check on word
pad? I don't think I have it, but if you know how I can
get it please advise me.

WordPad is a very primitive program. It's not really a word
processor, but just a glorified text processor. It has no spell
checking capability.

If you want a real word processor, you need to buy one (or try
the freeware OpenOffice).

There are lots of features that Wordpad doesn't have. One of them is
spell checking.

You can buy many much more capable word processing programs that
include spell checking, and lots of other things. One very good one is
MS Word. You can also go to www.openoffice.com and download Open
Office for free. Not as many features as Word, I'm sure, but *many*
features, and no doubt many more than Wordpad. Spell checking
definitely included.

No. There is no spell check at all - if you install Office, its checker
will get used in Outlook express, for example, but not in such an
elementary program as WordPad (and if you had Office you would be using
Word anyway)
