I just got Windows XP I used to have Windows ME and I
used to have Microsoft Word and it had spelling check and
now on XP I don't have Windows Word and the Note pad or

Greetings --

If you want Microsoft Word, you'll need to purchase (unless you
already have a retail license you can remove from an older machine)
and install it. NotePad and WordPad are nothing more than rudimentary
text editors, and do not have any advanced features, such as
spell-checking.

What did you do with your original MS Word CD? Either re-install MS
Word in XP or you can go to www.download.com and do a search for free
spell checkers that will work with Notepad and Wordpad. Notepad and
Wordpad do not come with a spell check function.

Buy Word and you'll get a spelling checker.
