spell check error

Hi. Ever since I reformatted my HD and reinstalled
Office2000, Outlook spell check gives an error: "Error
Occurred while checking spelling".

Note that Spell check works in Word however it won't let
me add custom items to my dictionary.

Also please note that a similar error in the MS solution
center for Outlook 2002 involves settings for "using Word
to spell check", but I have "Outlook 2000" and the
features are different (I think).

Did you try the steps in the KB? In many cases they will work for other
versions not mentioned.

The menu options in the KB solution were pretty different
and actually, the error message was slightly different
also.
