speed up my lan

how can i speed up my LAN
i have 3 computers on the lan all running xp pro
i have a fixed ip address
i connect through a surecom 10/100m ethernet switch
tranfering any data is so slow
any ideas

You did not indicated what slow means in numbers.
What to expect - http://www.ezlan.net/net_speed.html
If the network is configured correctly, and all the component are of the
correct rating (10/100Mb/sec.), it would be a bad cable that creates the
trouble.
