Speech Recongnition

When I open any of my Microsoft Office XP programs, I get the message
"Speech recognition requires a 400 MHz computer with 128 MB of ram."

Ok, so I don't want to use Speech Recognition. How then do I get this
message to go away?

I followed your instructions exactly and it now indicates that the Speech
icom is unistalled, but my problem is not solved. I still get the same
message.

Any other suggestions.
