Speaker notes & dual monitors

Hi,

Using PowerPoint v.X for Macintosh, I'm wanting to display
a slideshow on a projector using the external monitor port
of my PowerBook, while seeing the speaker notes on the
computer's LCD monitor. I've set it all up to display
fine, but when I advance a slide in the slideshow, the LCD
display doesn't advance the speaker notes page
automatically to match the projected slide.

Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere for this? Seems
pretty silly to have speaker notes on the LCD as
a "feature" if these can't be synchronised to the
projected slide, so I'm assuming there's something obvious
I'm missing here.

Thanks.

Kwan.

You've inadvertently found your way into the enemy camp. This is the PC

Sorry, I really don't know PowerPoint Version X for the Mac. I'm sure it is
addressed in the PPTFAQ. Check the link below also. On the PC I'd suggest
you use the presenters view from the set-up menu.

Arrghh!!. I didn't konw this was a PC-only group. The NG you describe
has been shut down & the replacement group is not carried on my news
server! But, I've found it on MS's webpages. Thanks.

Look at my free SyncViews add-in at
http://officerone.tripod.com/addins.html - it keeps the views in sync with
the slide show. See if that helps.

Thanks heaps Chirag, I'll try that when I get my hands on my wife's
PowerBook again. Seems a bit of a kludge solution from your website's
description, to fill a gap that should have been there in the first
place, given that MS claim that this is the very reason for supporting
dual screens.

I'll ask around the Mac groups too. Thanks.

PC mainly, but these are really quite nice people. They help most posters
with most problems.
