speakers notes display

Hello, I am using powerpoint to do presentations and having
my speakers notes display in a small window on the monitor. I just attempted
to do this and the notes pane is projected on top of the slide show. Is
there a way to use the projector as a second monitor, so that the speakers
notes stay hidden from the people I am talking to?
