Spam Filter in Outlook

Good morning.

I am running Microsoft Outlook v10 on Windows XP Pro SP2. I wanted to know
if there are any Microsoft add-ins that allow me to filter my incoming e-mail
for spam? I checked Microsoft's site and it seems to me that this is only
available in Outlook 2003 and subsequent versions.

If there is no add-in available from Microsoft, is there a decent free
program available that is integrated right in with Outlook to filter spam? I
do not want to use a standalone software. I want it integrated.

Here are a few I have found. Please let me know if any are effective, safe
and reliable or if there's something else you can suggest.

Spam Reader http://www.spam-reader.com/
Polesoft http://www.polesoft.com/
ChoiceMail http://www.digiportal.com/
Spamato http://www.spamato.net/
Spam Arrow http://www.spamarrow.com/index.html
Spam Filter Express http://www.spam-filter-express.com/index.html

Thanks.

Many people find this one of value: http://spambayes.sourceforge.net/

I also like this one: http://www.spampal.org/ . In fact, Spambayes and
SpamPal work on complementary methods. The latter uses RBLs and the former
a bayesian filter on the content.

Brian,

Thanks very much for responding. I went ahead and downloaded Spamato and so
far it seems quite good. It actually uses 7 different methods to analyze
e-mail. It's fully integrated and suits my needs. I'll keep the other two in
mind if I find issues with Spamato at all.

Take care.

SpamBayes is a Bayesian filter. Can function as a plug-in to Outlook
or run as a proxy for use by any e-mail client. SpamPal also has its
own Bayesian plug-in. If you have SpamPal, you don't need SpamBayes.

Looks interesting.
