Spacing between lines

How do I restore settings so when a new document is created line spacing is
set to zero? Right now it defaults to double spacing. I have to format each
paragraph to make the spacing zero.

Open normal.dot in Word. Apply a non-spaced paragraph style. Type a
character, delete it. Save and close normal.dot. This works for any Word
version.
