space key delets words

How to undo, the space key delets the words. I cannot space out the words
because the the word after the coursor gets deleted when I hit the space key

Hi Marta,

Have you checked to see if the "OVR" (overstrike) is on. You can tell if it
is black on the bottom of the Word screen. This can be toggled by pressing
the "INSERT" key on your keyboard. Try pressing the INSERT key on your
computer and see if the spcae key still deletes.
