SP4Free problems

Hi all.

My IBM 570 laptop with W2K ran fine until I installed the
SP4Free update. After the update the machine runs
extremely slow.

Task Manager reports the System process using 99% of the
cpu time. When I try to shut down I get a STOP: screen
telling me to startup in Safe Mode and remove hardware, or
software.

My question is do I rollback the SP4? If so, how should I
do it?

Do contact IBM support or the Thinkpad forum at pc.ibm.com.
They are very competent and helpful.
After all, you've paid for their support - why not to use it.
