SP4 destroys win2k Installation

In order to install anti Blaster patch, I was directed to
update w2k with SP2 or 4 I chose SP4 and after installation
got Blue Screen of Death. I was able then to reboot in safe
mode and atempted to uninstall SP4. After uninstall SP4
the all system can not boot at all. What a joke! The remedy
is worth than the poison
has anyone experienced similar things. What is the way back
to sanity ?
Would Microsoft assist in recovery?
BTW I am writting this from a Linux box..... looking more
attractive every single day

Just installed SP4 here. No problems whatsoever. All 7 machines on the
net here are now upgraded. No problems seen

I have a firewall in place and that may make the difference.
