SP3 RC2 troubles

i installed SP3 RC2 (release candidate) on my laptop.
here are the problems I encountered with this update.
the regional keyboard settings are accessed differentely from softwares. I
have omnitracker client installed and my nummeric input react differently
with sp2 or SP3 RC2.
windows live messenger version2008 (build 8.5.1302.1018) gives following
error with SP3 RC2:
eventid 11706 source: msiInstaller
description; error 1706. An installation package for the product WLM cannot
be found. try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation
package 'install_wlmessenger(1).msi'

when I uninstalled SP3 everything was working fine again.

Before you downloaded SP3 RC2 did you read all the download page.

RC = Beta IMHO, also there is a note that the real release (non-RC) of
SP3 will be through the normal Win Updates.

RC's exist because there are bugs to be worked out.

Leave the RC uninstalled and wait until SP3 is officially released.

Why did you install pre-release software on your laptop? Is your laptop a
test machine?
