I am receiving a Tablet notebook (centrino) with WinXP for
tablet, and wonder if I will also have to install SP2?
I already have the CD for SP2 which I loaded on my other
PC and wonder if I could use it to install SP2 on the
tablet with WinXP for tablet, when I receive the tablet?
Thanks for any help.

If SP2 is not installed, the same CD will install, if SP2 is
already included it won't install. Won't hurt to try it.

Thank you.
So, if SP2 is NOT installed on the Tablet which has "WinXP
for Tablet," then I can use the same SP2 CD I used to
install SP2 on my regular PC (not Tablet)?
I thought because they say "WinXP for Tablet" - that might
mean it is a different kind of WinXP and I would have to
get another SP2 CD just for "WinXP for Tablet."
Guess you can guess we are quite confused.
Thanks for your help.

Alice,

Yes Windows XP TabletPC Edition is a "different" version of Windows XP, BUT
SP2 is for all versions of Windows XP, Home, Professional, Media Center and
TabletPC. So you just use your SP2 CD.
The other good news is that if you install SP2 to your TabletPC it will
upgrade it to Windows XP TabletPC Edition 2005
