before you go to bed....
Pity 56k users.....
Jupiter Jones said:Sammy;
Simply get it from Microsoft and there is no question if it is the
correct one.
ALL non Microsoft sources are not authorized and should be considered
suspect.
Jupiter Jones said:Why would anyone want to get something so critical as a Service Pack
from an unauthorized source?
Especially when it can be downloaded from the legitimate source
without the chance of a 3rd party corrupting the data.
NEVER get a Microsoft Service anywhere but directly from Microsoft.
Unless safe computing means nothing to you.
Jupiter Jones said:Show me these other sources are authorized by Microsoft.
If they are not authorized, they are wrong.
Can you personally guarantee everyone who goes there will get a valid
copy?
Can you personally guarantee everyone who gets the unauthorized
version can properly read the digital signature 100% of the time?
Of course not to both.
Clueless.
Here as before you show you stubbornness with your newfound knowledge
of digital signatures.
Non Microsoft sources are unauthorized sources and carry risk no one
should take with something, certainly not a Service Pack.
The fact SP-2 was not available from Microsoft till yesterday does
nothing to legitimize the unauthorized source.
Now take your newfound knowledge somewhere it can do good, it does
nothing for anyone here.
To repeat:
NEVER get a Microsoft Service anywhere but directly from Microsoft.
Unless safe computing means nothing to you.

Nonsense, what I guarantee is that IF a "properly readable" AKA valid MS
digital signature is verified then the file is good to go.
Skip your convulsive wording and stay with just the FACTS.
To repeat "NEVER"-s from outer space especially near the 5th planet are to
be ignored. "NEVER"-s seem to get boiled from free space near
there...possibly something to do with neutrinos and dark energy.
