We have publicly stated the currently scheduled release date at
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/lifecycle/servicepacks.mspx

No gossip is required.

XP SP2 has not yet released.Some sources are saying that it will be
released sometimes in 2004.So till then stay tuned.Please don't believe
in gossips,listen what Microsoft is saying.i.e. the most authentic
source.Isn't it?

Bad link and sp2 search showed office xp sp2 not home.

No gossip. Microsoft's current estimate is mid-2004. But note
that it's not a promise, just an estimate.
