SP2 Problems After Install - Pc Pauses

I installed SP2 with no problems, but it causes my pc to pause constantly
(very irritating) and have had to uninstall it.

Any ideas what causes this as I want to install it eventually?

My OS is XP Pro.

It is hard to tell what caused that pausing.
