I wanted to know why windows is asking me to install Service Pack 2 multiple
times.
I went to the help site, and it won't accept my registry key to Email them.
I have the disk right in front of me. There it is... Windows XP home
edition... but I lost the case so I don't have the registry key. Now what?
Can someone perhaps let me know why I have to install the Service Pack 2
more than twice?

The CD means nothing.
It's the CD Key that is the actual "meat and potatos" of the ownership.

Use Magic Jellybean Keyfinder (google for it) and get your Windows XP CD Key
from the currently installed and functioning (I'm guessing from the tone of
your post) system. Write that down in a safe place. That is your true
"ownership" proof. That CD may well be original with holograms, etc - but
since even those are a dime a dozen - it doesn't mean much. =)
