SP2 (before 1.2GB, after 2.4GB)?

I had Win XP Pro, 1.2GB his folder weight
I instaled SP2 and not it's 2.37GB(!!!)

It's supposed to be an update, but what is in that 1.17GB more?!
and this is after I've turned off restoring points and XP said it erased
them all..

Can someone bring it clear to me? I want at least my 800MB back

Might want to check under the \Windows directory and see if you have a
hidden/system file named $NTServicePackUninstall$. This is where the
service pack places a copy of the files it replaced in case you decide to
pick the uninstall option from add/remove programs.
