After installing SP2 on my system I can no longer connect
to the wireless networks around me in my bldg nor can I
just plug into my cable modem. This was working fine with
XP w/ SP1, what has changed with SP2? I removed the
firewall and still no luck and I cannot renew my IP
address.

Please help!

Open the TCP/IP properties of the wireless connection, General tab,
Advanced properties, Options tab, TCP/IP filtering properties, check the
box Enable filtering, and change every instance of Permit Only to Permit
All. Disabling the windows firewall seems to leave this locked down.
