SP2 and MN-500 wireless router

Has anyone had any problems with their Microsoft MN-500
802.11b router (or other kind) after installing SP2? I
installed the pack, rebooted and everything was working
fine. I had to reboot again shortly after, and from then
on the router did not work. I bypassed the router
(ethernet right into back of pc) and got online fine. I
get the local area connection that there's no gateway
address. I tried turning off the SP2 firewall and still
no luck. Any ideas?

Same Problem but with a Belkin wireless g router. Everything was working
fine, then I installed SP2. After that nothing worked. Managed to get my
wireless LAN back on but I can't get my Broadband connection through it.
However if I hardwire my laptop to the router I can get the Broadband
internet going fine. Anybody got any solutions?

what are you using for a wireless network card? is there an updated
driver/new firmware available?

Budget Print Center

i've been battling this for a couple of months now, even more so after sp2.
what i've gathered is that dhcp assignments from router/cable modem are not
accepted by xp. could be firmware, but my cable co. wont let me upgrade. the
linksys site had upgrades for the router/hub and i thought i had it but 3
days later...sos.

the latest attempt was to enter admin for the router/hub and the cable modem
and assign a static ip address for the pc. 3 days with no connectivity
problem...so far so good.

Go to the TCP/IP properties, Advanced button, Options tab, TCP/IP
filtering Properties. Check that the box Enable... is checked and if
Permit Only is checked, change that to Permit All for all
protocols/ports.

Start, run
cmd [enter]
ipconfig/all [enter]

can you paste the results of that into a reply?

can you ping the MN500 at 192.168.2.1 (assuming you did not change the
default IP)?
