SP1 crashing.

I got a new hardrive and trying to windowsXP pro back up.
I get it installed and then get hit with Welchia worm. I
got that fixed but now when i go to install SP1 the
computer restarts and then it is stuck in the restart
loop. It boots up only to restart right before going to
desktop. Cant even start up in Safe Mode. It just keeps
restarting. Tried another harddrive but get the same
thing. Any ideas. Thanks in advance for the help.

Set your CD rom is the first boot device in the BIOS. Then
boot the machine. When you get the message "Press any key
to boot from CD", do so. Let setup run until it gets to
the point where you see a message that says "To repair
Windows using the recovery console, Press R." Once there,
select the OS you want to run. If you only have Windows
XP, it will say "1. Windows XP." Type 1 and press enter.
Then, enter your password. Once at the DOS prompt, type
CHKDSK /R. When it's finished you should be able to boot
normally.
