SP1 back up

Ian

When installing SP1 I went for the option that allows
returning to the pre-SP1 situation, even though it warned
this takes up a lot of hard drive. I now want to get rid
of all those files that I don't need now I'm happy with
SP1 (I think they are the folders in Windows with names
like $NtUninstallKB824146_RTM$ and
$NtServicePackUninstall$). Can I just delete them?

Many thanks

Ian

If you wish to safely remove the "uninstall files" for the
Hotfixes (i.e. $NtUninstallQxxxxxx$ files shown in Windows Explorer)
and cleanup your Add/Remove Programs list, visit MS-MVP Doug Knox's
excellent website for instructions.

Remove Hotfix Backup files and the Add/Remove Programs Registry entries

Yes. If you then try the remove in Add/Re,move it will fail and offer
to remove the entries there
