I have to reinstall XP Home and would like to know whether the SP I is to be
installed first, thats before SP II, or just installing the SP 2 from the CD
sent by Microsoft will cover the previous service pack which was downloaded
deom the Microsoft site.
Any advise given will be highly appreciated.

SP2 includes all prior patches and service packs for Windows XP (prior to
SP2 that is.)

[unofficial] Install Windows XP then install SP2 before connecting the
computer to the Internet for the first time. Once SP2 is install immediately
UPDATE at Windows Update or at least have Automatic Updating turned on.
Don't do anything else on the Internet until these updates are done.

Skip SP1 .. you do not need it now that SP2 is out. SP2 includes everything
that is in SP1 already.
