SP/2

i have been down loading SP/2 from the disk i had delivered from microsoft.
all of a sudden, i am getting an error message saying: "incorrect function"
during the EXTRACTING phase/beginning phases of putting it on my computer.
what is this? i use the same disk for another machine and it works fine?

can someone help? should i load it from the microsoft website for this
particular pc?
 
There may be some conflict in this particular PC causing the incorrect function
error. It would be best to install SP2 in Safe Mode while offline with the
anti-virus disabled. Once installed you may have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to close the
window by clicking the Shutdown tab and then reboot. All should be OK. :~)
